Dok-Ing XD The Smallest Electric Car - Los Angeles Auto car exhibition 2011 was not only enlivened the car from the United States, Germany. Croatia car manufacturer just participate enliven this car show. Croatia's car manufacturer showing Dok-Ing XD, a prototype electric car.

Dok-Ing XD cars can be regarded as the smallest electric car today. Beside the size is small, it's also a very light car. Interestingly, Dok-Ing XD use gull wing doors, while it's small body is made from raw materials of kevlar and carbon fiber that surrounding the aluminum chassis.

The weight of Dok-Ing XD2 is 1,200 kg, and XD4 weight is 1300 kg. XD can only be filled three passengers, with the formation of seats is one in front and 2 in rear.

Later, Dok-Ing XD will be provided 2 options drive train, XD2 (front wheel drive) and XD4 (all-wheel drive). Both, will be equipped with a 45 kW electric motor for each wheel, where XD2 can generate 90 kW, and XD4 can generate 180 kW of power when combined.

As reported by caradvice, Friday (11/18/ 2011), this electric car can reach a distance of 250 km with one time battery charging takes about 3-8 hours, depending on electric power source.

XD2 only takes 7.5 seconds to move from 0-100 km / hour, while XD4 only takes 4.2 seconds. Shorter when compared to the Nissan Leaf, which takes 7.9 seconds, and Chevrolet Volt takes 9 seconds.

Not yet clear when this car will be mass produced. The price will be up to U.S. $ 67,400.
